Albert Maysles is an icon. Recognized as one of the pioneers of "direct cinema”, Albert has produced and directed over thirty documentary films along with corporate commercials and films. Among his many credits are award-winning films such as PRIMARY, SALESMAN, GIMME SHELTER, CHRISTO IN PARIS, UMBRELLAS, GREY GARDENS, and dozens more. Albert is currently at work on his autobiographical documentary film, HANDHELD, as well as two other films IN TRANSIT and FROM THE MOUTH OF BABES. He was among the very first to bring the documentary style to commercial spots and has made award winning commercials for companies like IMB, Shell Oil, and Merrill Lynch.
